Tevo (Zhanjiang China) has rebranded themselves as "Homers". This is not a Simpson's reference. Their brand is based on Homer, author of The Iliad and The Odyssey and many of their existing models are being renamed or changed in color to match the orange/black color theme.
Here is the offical press release:
With the all the things currently going on in the world, Tevo 3D Printers has been working hard on restructuring the organization.
What does that mean? The rebranding of the company to Homers 3D Printer. Upgrading the Tech Support System. Training in Quality Control to provide higher quality printers. Setting up Part Distribution Centers in multiple countries for faster replacement/upgrade parts.
Where did the name come from? Homers “The Iliad and the Odyssey”. A mythology story of Greek Gods.
A long time ago a hero stepped up during the Trojan War, his name was Odysseus the King of Ithaca. The Trojan War took 10 years and was won when Odysseus built a great wooden horse as a gift for the Trojans. Odysseus and his Elite forces hide inside while the rest of the Greek Army sailed away to a nearby island. The Trojans wheeled the horse into the City of Troy as a trophy. Once inside Odysseus and his Elite forces waited until night before emerging from the horse and opening the gates of Troy, where the Greek Army was waiting.
Homers 3D Printer will be introducing printers with mythical names.
Out of the ashes rises a Phoenix.
